Clean Up

Annually, we partner with LitterFree253’s city-wide Earth Day initiative to pick up litter in our South End Tacoma community.

In 2023…

We had 79 volunteers including 15 kids and people from:

  • Helen B. Stafford Elementary school

  • Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department

  • Hosmer Business Association

  • Tacoma and Pierce County Police Departments

  • City Council members, and

  • WA state DEA

We picked up 91 bags of trash and countless tons of large items between S. 84th St. and S. 102nd St. from Hosmer St. to Pacific Ave.

In 2024…

We had 59 volunteers including 10 kids and people from:

  • Helen B. Stafford Elementary school

  • Birney Elementary school

  • Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department

  • Tacoma Police Department

  • City Council members

We picked up approx. 94 bags of trash between S. 84th St. and S. 102nd St. from Hosmer St. to Pacific Ave.

In 2025…
